Isaiah 7:1-17; Luke 1:5-25

Waiting is one of life's most challenging experiences, often making us feel out of control and forgotten. Through the stories of King Ahaz and Zechariah and Elizabeth, we discover that God meets us in our waiting with His presence rather than quick fixes. While Ahaz looked for political solutions to his crisis, God offered Emmanuel - God with us. Zechariah and Elizabeth remained faithful through decades of unanswered prayer and were positioned to play a crucial role in God's plan. During seasons of waiting, we should name what we're waiting for, resist rushing the process, look for Jesus in our circumstances, and remain faithful. God's timing is perfect, and His presence transforms our waiting from empty time into sacred space where He does His deepest work.
